Changing Users or Usernames

From time to time is is necessary to change your username either because:-
  • There is a change in users.
  • Your user changes their name.

Changing Users [not MyServer Lite]
In the former, it is merely a case of emailing Support@MarkAndrewSmith.com and letting us know who is no longer a user and who the replacement user is.  We will need to know:-

  • Old username
  • New users first name, last name and the email address you wish to use for them.

Please note: For security, we will delete their user ID and data.  Please note: it is your responsibility to move this data first as we will delete their private user space as part of our security procedures.  Then we setup the new users private space and email you their secure username and password as per setting up a new user.

Changing Usernames
In the latter, simply email us with the following:-

  • Username
  • New first name, last name and the email address you wish to use for them.

Please note, the user will continue to use their old username to sign on, but outgoing email will be from their new email account.  They will continue to have email aliases from the old and new email addresses unless you tell us otherwise.  Please also note that this MyServer Lite users can request a change of their own name only.
