Using MyServer from Internet Cafes

You can use MyServer from anywhere in the world.  Should you not wish to lug a laptop with you on a business trip or holiday, then you can simply visit an Internet cafe and log in in one of the two following ways:-

1. Remote Desktop Connection
This is our preferred method as it our preferred method as this will allow you to attach any local printers should you need a print out.  Use your remote desktop connection from an Internet cafe in the safe knowledge that your data and applications are still with us, all you have is a remote view into our data centre.

However, some Internet Cafes do not allow the Remote Desktop Connection protocol to be used (technically known as RDP - Remote Desktop Protocol) as they expect you only to be wanting to browse the Internet and/or collect your email.  So this is why we have an alternative.

2. Remote Desktop Internet Web Browser Connection
Simply use Internet Explorer and visit the following website:-

and if you are requested to download an Active X component, allow this the log into MyServer in the usual manner.  Please note that using this method is slightly restrictive in that you cannot connect remote printers nor remote disc nor pen drives.
