Creating a Manual VPN

There are two methods to create a VPN to us:-

• One for Windows 2000 (Workstation and Server) 
• One for Windows 2003 Server, Windows XP and Windows Vista (not Home edition) 

VPNs are not supported by ourselves in Windows 98/ME as they are too unreliable.

Please note: 

• Not all routers support Microsoft's PPTP VPN technology because they either do not route the GRE protocol or allow Internet sharing of the GRE protocol.
• Microsoft have deliberately limited remote connectivity in Vista Home edition by cutting down some of the network and security functions, if using Vista, do not use the cut down Home editions with MyServer.
