Each MyServer user can have a email mailbox. This is accessed via POP3 and/or webmail using their standard MyServer username. Each user can have one or multiple SMTP email addresses going to their mailbox or they could ask for email to be forwarded elsewhere. For example, in the company Joe Bloggs Ltd, the user Martin has a username of "jblgslmartin", so on our system, his mailbox will be "jblgslmartin". His email address may be martin@joebloggs.com and he may also have martin@joebloggs.co.uk. If we forced this user to have to sign on with the full email address like some hosting providers do, then when Martin is remote from his office and using webmail he would have to keep checking multiple email address mailboxes, very tiresome. Also many hosting providers charge per email address, making their email system very expensive as your business grows. These are the why we came up with the mailboxes being separate from the email address. We can then offer these scenarios:-
