Our multiple Internet connections

In case of failure, we have multiple high speed Internet connections into our data centre in Manchester.  If you are configuring your own DNS settings then we prefer that you use the IP addresses for services in the following order:-
  1. IP Address:  82.138.234.125
  2. IP Address:  86.53.239.125

For mail server MX records, you may wish to set the priority as follows:-

FQDN Resolve to IP Address Priority (if required)
mx1.<your-domain> 82.138.234.125 10
mx2.<your-domain> 86.53.239.125 20

Typically, you may wish to set these DNS host settings:-

  • ns1,ns2,ns3 (optional)
  • www.<your-domain>
  • test.<your-domain> (optional)
  • mail.<your-domain>
  • mx1,mx2, mx3 (optional)
