Managing and maintaining your database

The data in your database is yours and you need to maintain that it is up to date and useful for your Business.  In the case of web enabled databases, it is up to you to monitor and resolve data posted by web users and correct or remove rubbish entries.

We recommend connecting to our MySQL database remotely via ODBC and you can edit tables directly using the freely available opensource software called Open Office 2.0 Data or Microsoft Access as a front end data editor.  Microsoft Excel can be used to remotely read data for statistical and graphing purposes.  We however strongly recommend Open Office 2.0.

We however will help with technical server enquiries to ensure that you can run your Business online.  Any technical enquiries should be directed to Support@MarkAndrewSmith.com.
