Data
On MyServer, there can be all sorts of data for you and your users:-
- Private Company Data
- Private User Data (ie Payroll, Personnel etc)
- Public Website Data
- Email Data
- Data stored in MySQL databases
- EDI Data transferred from/to other companies [not MyServer
Lite]
- Private data backed up from Personal Computers
In setting these data areas up, we need to know the following:-
- What type of data area it is (see above)?
- What do you want this data area calling?
- How big a data area do you need?
- Who is to be granted access? [not MyServer Lite]
How ever, we can help with all of these questions as most clients
prefer the following:-
- S: drive mapped via a VPN to their shared Private Company Data
[not MyServer Lite]
- U: drive mapped via a VPN to their user Private User Data
- W: drive mapped via a VPN to their Website Data in which to make
easy changes
- Email data is then stored in Maildir's called Maildir within their
U: drive
- EDI data can be connected via the company S: drive [not
MyServer Lite]
