Trainee PC Support Technician - starting January 2009 We have a vacancy for a Trainee PC Support Technician to visit client sites and look after the configuration, repair and maintenance of clients computer systems. Training will be given over a two year period, but it is expected that the candidate will have some prior and basic knowledge of computers. This role may interest a post graduate looking for experience in a small expanding micro company based in the North West. A company laptop, phone, Internet connection and PC Support tools will be provided. Candidates must have a clean UK driving license and own vehicle. Candidates will be customer facing so must be smart and have a polite attitude and an excellent command of the English language. We expect the successful candidate to be proactive and look to improve themselves and the company at every opportunity. The individual must be able to work on their own meeting client tasks and deadlines. It is expected that the successful candidate will continue their training with us and we will look to send the candidate to day/night school if appropriate in September on an IT course of their choice. Salary is from £7.50/hour to £12/hour depending on experience and the hours are dependent on client demand. Overtime is payable before 7am and after 7pm and Saturdays at time plus one half, double time on Sundays. We offer 20 paid holidays per year, pro rata if part-time. Please note you will be asked to look after our own data centre server equipment in Manchester out of hours and/or on a rotor basis.
