23th June 2008 - We would like to announce that we have extended our remote control facilities from not only looking after your servers using RealVNC, but also your users on their desktops or laptops as a helping hands service for when they are inside the office or out on the road or even perhaps even working from home or abroad.  More information on this and how beneficial it is for you can be found on our PC Support webpage.

1st May 2008 - Mark Andrew Smith Limited becomes an ISP.  We are now able to offer low cost managed ADSL and SDSL services to Businesses all over the UK.  Backed by BT Wholesale, this now allows us to become a one stop shop for all your IT needs from local PC support, centralised server solutions and now the connectivity between those two.  When coupled with VoIP (voice over IP), our ADSL solutions go hand in hand with our centralised MyServer solution permitting a MyServer user to be anywhere and still be contactable as if in the office.

1st April 2008 - We're expanding again!  We move to larger offices within the Ashland House complex to allow us to cater for more PC Support calls.  No change in address, no change in our contact details either.

1st February 2008 - We add a extra Terminal Services server to our MyServer centralised IT Solution to add even more resilience to our already resilient high availability server systems.  This new server was named internally 'EddieSmith' in recognition of all the work Eddie Smith the Company Secretary has done for the Business over the years since we started out as a sole tradership in 1992 and later a limited company from 1998.
10th March 2008 - We add a 'datasafe' server at another off-site location to replicate and hold MyServer user data for longer periods of time away from our Manchester server facility.  This is part of our centralised IT strategy for your data protection and safety.

1st January 2008 - We're expanding!  We are pleased to announce the first of three trainees over the next three years with the appointment Michael Marston as a new trainee support technician on a full two year apprenticeship training scheme.  His role will be to be to master everything PC support related and eventually support clients on site at their premises.  We welcome him to the company.

7th December 2007 - Please note:  We are planning to close for Business over the festive period on Friday 21st December 2007 at noon.  We will reopen on Thursday 3rd January 2008 at 9am.  MyServer users and hosting clients may obtain a limited skeleton support service during this time by either emailing Support@MarkAndrewSmith.com or leaving a message on (0844)412 5801.
